Inquest and Funeral Service for University of Hertfordshire 'Self Harm' Student

A funeral service and balloon release ceremony for eighteen year old University of Hertfordshire Sutdent - Don Mohlabane was held in Polesworth, Staffordshire on Friday 29th May 2015.  Don died at about 2.15am on May 12, 2015 in Lister Hospital, Stevenage as a result of 'self harm'. Read previous report here. He suffered heart failure as a result of multiple lacerations to his lung tissue.

His mother Keneilwe and brother Gaur spoke at his funeral service which was well attended by the South African community, the Polesworth community and student's from the University of Hertfordshire.   His family, friends, and fellow students who had known him over the years turned out en masse to give him a befitting farewell.

An inquest opened regarding his death found out he died from 'self inflicted' wounds.  May Don's soul rest in peace.
