I got this picture off facebook. Apparently, the boy in question took his babe to a fast food joint for a meal where he spent about N5,000 (approx £15) on a meal. Check out his boxers - penny wise or pound foolish? Shouldn't charity have begun at home with him getting new boxers for himself before splashing out on impressing a girl? *smh*

1. Speak gently and calmly to your wife. Never raise your voice at her, it demeans her and shows you think she is stupid.
2. NEVER expose your wife's weakness to your family or run to them whenever you have issues or anyone else cause it will come back to hunt you.
3. Never use intimidation, shout or violence to communicate your moods. Aggressive men don't make a happy home.
4. Don't compare your wife to other women. You don't know what their husbands are going through. If you attack her self esteem you will forever have a timid wiffy.
5. Don't forget that your wife married you to take care of her and the children not the reverse. Do your duties.

A guy met one of his school mates several years after school and he could not believe his eyes; his friend was driving one of the latest sleek Mercedes Benz cars. He went home feeling awful and very disappointed in himself. He thought he was a failure. What he didn't know was that his friend was a driver and had been sent to run errands with his boss's car.
Rosemary nagged her husband always for not being romantic. She accused him of not getting down to open the car door for her as her friend Jane's husband did when he dropped her off at work. What Rosemary didn't know that Jane's husband car had a faulty door that could only be opened from the outside.
Sampson's wife went to visit one of her long time friends and was very troubled within for seeing the 3 lovely kids of her friend playing around. Her problem was that she had only one child and have been struggling to conceive for the past five years. What she didn't know was that one of those kids who was the biological child of her friend had sickle cell and had just a year to live; the other two are adopted.
Life does not have a universal measuring tool so create yours and use it.
Looking at people and comparing yourself with them will not make you better. If you knew the sort of load the chameleon carried you wouldn't ask why it takes those gentle strides. Enjoy what you have.
HAVE A LOVELY WEEKEND!

The Metropolitan Police have issued a statement confirming that the police officer involved in the incident (see video) which took place at Kings Cross Station would be investigated for racial discrimination, undue force and police brutality.
A man of African descent was held for fare evasion and even though he said he would willingly follow the officers but the officer insisted that he should get on the floor hitting him with a baton severally. I think the force was too excessive and the officer went all out to humiliate a man who was not a threat to him or other members of society. See previous post HERE.

The Deputy Governor of Cross River State, Prof Ivara Esu paid a visit to the explosion scene at the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Calabar branch. The explosion took place earlier on this morning - Friday 11th March 2016 when an M2 cylinder for the cooling systems in the building exploded. The explosion tore through the roof of the building, shattering window glasses and causing severe damage to the main building. The Deputy Governor was conducted round the office by the Branch Comptroller - Dr Graham Kalio.
EIGHTEEN people were injured and sustained third degree burns in an inferno at the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Calabar. The explosion took place at about 11.45 am on Friday 11th March 2016 at the Bank premises on Calabar Road, next to the commercial hub of the city.
It is believed that an M2 cylinder that connects one of the chillers of the bank's central air conditioning exploded.
The Cross River State government has received a notice from the Federal Ministry of Environment asking it to observe Environmental regulations and EIA processes. In layman's terms, the government has been asked to stop work on the super highway pending completion of outstanding issues and dialoge with all the parties concerned.
The man (most likely Nigerian by his accent/voice) in the video was accosted at Kings Cross Station on Thursday 10th March 2016 by British Transport Police Officers. His offence is not known but the police officers repeatedly asked him to get down on the floor. The man was willing to be arrested and taken away peacefully but the policeman kept on insisting he should get down on the floor when he was not a threat to the police officers or other individuals around the scene of the incident.

These are beautiful artwork by artist Olumide Oresugun. I had to look twice - it looks like a real life picture and not an artwork (Drawing on pastel).

We have all heard the sad news of the death of a serving minister, his family and aides who died when a tyre burst causing the jeep they were travelling in to sommersault severally.
Artiste Duncan Mighty gives a couple of tips on what to do when you experience a burst tyre while driving.
In the event of the unfortunate death of Nigeria's minister of state for labour due to an accident occasioned by a tyre blowout and the fact that in Nigeria now-a-days, we have many untrained drivers, it has become pertinent for me to write this.
There are 6 simple steps to take within a maximum of 2 minutes and you will be safe, these by the grace of God I have been familiar with for decades. They are as follow:
- (1) DON'T PANIC in the event of a blowout, calm yourself down fast because your car will start misbehaving and you need to take charge.
- (2) Hold FIRMLY to your steering wheel with both hand, NO VIGOROUS TURNING, as you concentrate on the road and your mirrors, in seconds study the movement pattern of the car. Your car will naturally swerve to the direction of the burst tyre.
