18 Injured As Gas Explosion Rocks Central Bank Office In Calabar (Graphic Pictures)

EIGHTEEN people were injured and sustained third degree burns in an inferno at the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Calabar.  The explosion took place at about 11.45 am on Friday 11th March 2016  at the Bank premises on Calabar Road, next to the commercial hub of the city.  

It is believed that an M2 cylinder that connects one of the chillers of the bank's central air conditioning  exploded. 

The injured persons have been rushed to the hospital and are currently undergoing treatment.  There is no official statement yet from the CBN management.  More pictures from the explosion scene below...
